The oil and gas industry is a driving force for Iran’s industrial development. Although this industry is late, it should be developed in the economic, scientific, academic and industrial body of the country and a significant part of the country’s economic, scientific, industrial and production capacities should be allocated to support the oil industry. Activating the energy exchange market and making it possible to supply crude oil and petroleum products in the domestic stock market is another measure that, although facing great challenges, can be a good way to pass the traditional and one-dimensional system of selling and supplying crude oil and petroleum products. Engaging universities and scientific and research centers in the country with new challenges in the oil industry, especially the strategic plan to increase the oil extraction coefficient, is another major step in the history of the oil industry. This cooperation could be the end of a century of separation between the oil industry and the university in the country.
